Renusagar is a town situated in the south of Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Renusagar is the home of Renupower, a 700 MW captive power plant which supplies electricity to Hindalco Industries' operations in Renukoot. The rest of the town is mostly a middle class residential community, managed by the Civic Authority of Hindalco.
Aditya Birla Junior School, previously known as Renupower Prathmik Pathshala, is Renusagar's Hindi-medium school for grades 1-5. Aditya Birla Intermediate College, formerly known as Renupower Intermediate College, educates grades 6-12, also in Hindi.
The Aditya Birla Public School, previously known as Vidya Mandir, is the town's only English medium school. A branch of The Aditya Birla Public Schools, it is an ISO 9001 certified, co-educational institution which prepares pupils to take the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Examination. Every year, the school chooses the Head Boy and the Head Girl. This year also, the school has chosen the finest of them. The Head Boy is Aditya Singh and the Head Girl is Arshi Singh. The school also has four houses, namely Rabindra, Rajendra, Sarvapalli and Vivekanand. The houses has their own prefects. They are:-
